If your camera isn't responding when scanning the QR code during setup, here are some common reasons and how to fix them. Please follow the steps below to ensure successful pairing.
Reason 1: Camera Is Not in Pairing Mode
The camera must be in pairing mode to scan the QR code.
What to check:
The indicator light should be slowly flashing red
If not, please reset the camera using the reset button until you hear a tone or see the red light start flashing slowly
Reason 2: QR Code Is Blocked
The QR code may be partially covered by your finger, a screen protector, or other icons on the screen.
What to do:
Make sure the entire QR code is visible and not obstructed
Avoid touching the code area while displaying it
Reason 3: QR Code Is Too Small
A small QR code may be difficult for the camera to read, especially on smaller screens.
What to do:
Use a device with a larger screen, such as a tablet
Increase screen brightness and zoom in if needed
Reason 4: QR Code Is Too Close or Too Far
Incorrect distance from the camera lens can affect scanning accuracy.
What to do:
Hold the QR code about 10–20 cm (4–8 inches) from the camera lens
Slowly move the device forward or backward to find the best focus point
Reason 5: Camera Lens Sticker Not Removed
If the protective film is still on the camera lens, it can affect its ability to focus.
What to do:
Check if the camera lens still has a plastic sticker and remove it carefully
Reason 6: Lighting Issues or Glare
Strong lighting, glare, or backlight can interfere with the camera’s ability to read the QR code.
What to do:
Avoid direct sunlight or strong light sources
Adjust the angle of your screen to reduce reflections
Reason 7: QR Code Is Moving Too Much
Shaky hands or excessive movement can make it hard for the camera to focus.
What to do:
Hold the QR code steadily for a few seconds
Avoid shaking or moving the device too quickly
